Easy Chicken Prep on a Budget
Preparing Your Chicken:
Place 3 lbs. cut-up chicken with skin into pan. Cover with water 1 inch over
top of chicken, approximately 8-10 cups. Add 1/2 tablespoon salt to water.
Place over medium heat, bring to low boil, turn to low simmer till chicken is
tender and pulls from bone easily, about 45 minutes. Remove chicken from
water and let it cool. Discard skin and bones. Shred chicken. Set aside. Keep
broth for use in cooking.
